Go/Golang Developer - Remote

Role overview

You’ll join a customer team as a Go (Golang) Developer on a part-time remote contract. The work focuses on evaluating and training next-generation AI coding tools during highly confidential alpha stages.

Responsibilities

• Build REST and GraphQL endpoints in a modern Go backend
• Perform data validation and implement robust error handling
• Execute database migrations and support performance optimization
• Test and evaluate alpha AI models in Cursor through multiple testing bursts
• Identify and document incidents, bugs, and edge cases with reports, traces, and annotated screenshots
• Collaborate with the research team via Slack and provide real-time feedback
• Complete structured surveys after each testing burst to assess impressions and usability

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience as a Golang/Go developer
• Strong command of Go, REST APIs, GraphQL, and backend best practices
• Proven experience with AI-powered coding tools; Cursor experience is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong hands-on ability for rapid prototyping and technical exploration
• Experience with data validation, error handling, and complex debugging
• Ability to document findings thoroughly while not sharing confidential information

Preferred qualifications

• Public contributions to open-source projects (e.g., notable GitHub)
• Prior experience evaluating technical products or performing developer tool QA
• Interest in mentoring and sharing insights with high-trust research teams
