Go/Golang Developer - Remote

Role Overview

Join a customer team as a Go (Golang) Developer to help evaluate and train next-generation AI coding tools during a highly confidential alpha stage. This is a part-time remote contract opportunity focused on hands-on technical exploration.

Responsibilities

• Build REST and GraphQL endpoints using a modern Go backend stack
• Implement data validation and robust error handling
• Perform database migrations and performance optimization
• Test and evaluate alpha AI models in Cursor across multiple testing bursts (4 days, 5+ hours/day)
• Identify and document incidents, bugs, and edge cases with detailed reports, bug traces, and annotated screenshots
• Collaborate with the research team via Slack, providing real-time feedback and insights
• Complete structured surveys on impressions and model usability after each testing burst

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years professional experience as a Golang developer
• Strong command of Go and backend best practices
• Experience building REST APIs and GraphQL services
• Proven experience with AI-powered coding tools (and ideally Cursor)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Enthusiasm for hands-on coding, rapid prototyping, and technical curiosity
• Experience with data validation, robust error handling, and complex debugging
• Ability to document findings thoroughly while not sharing confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

• Public contributions to open-source (e.g., notable GitHub repos/stars)
• Experience conducting technical product evaluations or developer tool QA
• Interest in mentoring and sharing insights with high-trust research teams
