Go/Golang Developer - Remote

Role Overview

Join the customer’s team as a Go/Golang Developer (Contract, Remote). You’ll help evaluate and train next-generation AI coding tools during highly confidential alpha phases through hands-on testing, documentation, and feedback to a research team.

Responsibilities

• Develop REST and GraphQL endpoints using a modern Go backend stack
• Implement rigorous data validation and comprehensive error handling
• Perform database migrations and support performance optimization
• Test and evaluate alpha AI models in Cursor during repeated testing bursts (multiple 4-day cycles, 5+ hours/day)
• Identify and document incidents, bugs, and edge cases with detailed reports, traces, and annotated screenshots
• Collaborate with the research team via Slack and provide real-time feedback
• Complete structured surveys after each testing burst (impressions and model usability)

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Golang/Go developer
• Strong command of Go, REST APIs, GraphQL, and backend best practices
• Experience with AI-powered coding tools (and ideally Cursor)
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Enthusiasm for hands-on coding, rapid prototyping, and technical exploration
• Experience with data validation, robust error handling, and complex debugging
• Ability to thoroughly document findings without disclosing confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

• Public contributions to open-source (e.g., notable GitHub contributions)
• Experience conducting technical product evaluations or developer tool QA
• Interest in mentoring/sharing insights with high-trust research teams
