Go Developer

Role Overview

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Go Developer to design and build high-performance backend services and cloud-native applications using Go. You’ll work on systems where latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency are critical, and you’ll contribute to a shared codebase used across multiple engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications in Go
• Build production gRPC/REST APIs and systems with strong performance and reliability
• Translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions with cross-functional partners (product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders)
• Raise the engineering bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers
• Improve debugging and performance through strong engineering practices and operational focus

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant time in Go (posting also mentions 6+ years)
• Strong knowledge of Go concurrency patterns (goroutines, channels, contexts)
• Hands-on experience building production gRPC and/or REST APIs in Go
• Experience with Kubernetes-native development (client-go, controller-runtime)
• Strong experience with relational and key-value data stores
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and networking fundamentals
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployment
• Excellent debugging and performance engineering skills
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Open-source contributions to Go-based projects
• Experience writing Kubernetes operators/controllers
• Familiarity with eBPF, service mesh, or low-level systems programming
• Experience on security-sensitive Go projects (e.g., cryptography/auth)
• Experience with WASM, TinyGo, or embedded systems
