Role Overview

Avanciers Inc. is seeking a GCP Data Engineer for a full-time, remote opportunity supporting PST time zone. You will help deliver Teradata to Google BigQuery migration initiatives by building and operating scalable data pipelines on GCP.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
Build data ingestion and transformation workflows
Implement reliable data movement using BigQuery, GCS, Composer, and Cloud Functions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute migration tasks
Validate data integrity during migration
Set up monitoring and logging
Apply CI/CD best practices for data workflows

Requirements

6–10 years of experience in data engineering
Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and GCP
Experience migrating Teradata to BigQuery
Hands-on with migration/ingestion tools such as:
- Storage Transfer Service
- gsutil
- bq CLI
- Git
- APIs
- File-based ingestion

Nice to Have

Exposure to Spark (Dataproc)
Experience with cloud data governance
Familiarity with data quality frameworks
