About the role

Role Overview

As a Fullstack Software Engineer at Clera, you’ll join a small, ambitious team to own features end-to-end—from concept to launch and ongoing iteration. The role is focused on building high-quality product experiences with real impact in fintech.

Responsibilities

  • Build full-stack web features (front-end and back-end) from zero to one
  • Integrate third-party APIs
  • Design robust state machines for reliable product behavior
  • Own work end-to-end: ideation → launch → continuous improvement
  • Maintain and raise quality standards for yourself and others

Requirements

  • 2–9 years of professional full-stack software development experience
  • Proficiency with:
    • TypeScript
    • React
    • Python (FastAPI)
    • PostgreSQL
    • AWS
  • Strong background building web applications
  • Experience delivering software in fintech or other regulated industries
  • Strong computer science fundamentals

Nice to Have

  • Demonstrated side projects showing initiative and a builder mindset
  • Education from a reputable program (top-tier university a plus)
  • Experience working outside large tech companies (Amazon background is fine)

Location & Work Setup

  • Fully remote within US time zones (primary hub: New York, NY)
