About the role

Role Overview

IMG Academy is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer (Marketing) to develop, test, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of its web applications. You’ll partner with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver and document high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications
Write clean, maintainable code using modern frameworks and technologies
Collaborate with designers and product managers to implement user-friendly interfaces
Build and integrate APIs to support application functionality
Work with databases (data modeling, performance)
Apply security best practices to protect sensitive data
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards
Document disaster and succession plans for software solutions
Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements

Required Skills & Experience

3–5 years as a Full-Stack Engineer (or similar)
Strong proficiency in:
- Front-end: JavaScript, HTML, SCSS, Liquid, Twig
- Back-end: Ruby, PHP, Node.js
Development tools: Composer, Brew, NVM/NPM
Server/database management: Linux, Apache, MySQL, YAML
Leveraging Claude AI
Front-end framework experience: React, Vue.js, or Angular
Relational/SQL database experience
Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) (plus)
Version control: Git/GitHub
Experience with Enterprise Cloudflare services
Testing frameworks: Jest, Mocha, or Cypress
Strong problem-solving; able to work independently or in a team

Nice to Have

Master’s degree in software engineering (or related)
Interest in sports
Experience with AI frameworks such as OpenAI, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
