Fullstack Developer with Backend Focus

Role Overview

Join BLP Digital as a Fullstack Developer with Backend Focus in the Platform team. You’ll help extend shared platform ownership deeper into the stack, shaping how platform services, APIs, and user-facing reliability work across products.

Responsibilities

• Build the Foundation: Design and develop shared backend services and APIs with clear contracts and abstractions.
• Drive User Impact: Partner with product teams and business stakeholders to remove platform bottlenecks and deliver improvements users can feel.
• Own Reliability and Correctness: Build and operate robust systems; continuously improve them using careful analysis and iteration.
• Build Great Software: Write clean, maintainable, high-quality code across the stack and perform code reviews.
• Shape Architecture: Collaborate on system design, tech stack choices, and platform boundaries for scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Lead and Influence: Influence major initiatives (e.g., migrations) and mentor team members.
• Promote Innovation and Collaboration: Improve processes, tools, and team practices to foster learning and growth.

Requirements

• Strong backend center of gravity and interest in designing reliable systems and ensuring correctness.
• Strong software fundamentals applied to real operational problems.
• BSc/MSc (or equivalent practical experience) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience spanning platform work impacting both user-facing features and internal tooling.
• Comfort managing complexity/"entropy" in complex systems.
