Role Overview

Full-Stack Web Developer (m/f/d) with DevOps skills. You will build and optimize high-performing websites end-to-end, from WordPress development to server configuration and operational tasks.

Responsibilities

Website Development

• Develop, maintain, and enhance websites using WordPress, TYPO3, and other CMS platforms
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Server and Domain Management (DevOps)

• Implement and manage server configurations and domain settings
• Handle DevOps tasks to ensure strong performance and security
• Perform backups and implement disaster recovery plans

Team Collaboration

• Work with designers, content creators, and other developers to deliver high-quality websites

Performance Monitoring and Technical Support

• Monitor traffic and performance; adjust to improve user experience and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to website functionality

Continuous Improvement

• Stay current with web development and DevOps trends
• Ensure websites are optimized for speed, scalability, and user experience

Requirements

Must-haves

• Proven experience as a web developer with a strong portfolio using WordPress
• Deep understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugin development/customization
• Proficiency in PHP and MySQL, including database design, querying, and optimization
• Solid HTML/CSS/JavaScript knowledge
• Experience with RESTful APIs (development, integration, troubleshooting), especially in WordPress (e.g., WP REST API)
• Ability to design modular, reusable backend components/services
• Knowledge of backend security best practices (input validation, authentication, access control)
• Server management skills including Apache/Nginx, DNS, SSL, and domain configuration
• Experience with Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries: React, Vue
• Familiarity with Node.js or other backend runtimes
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud experience: AWS, Azure, GCP
• Knowledge of SEO best practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
