About the role
Role overview
Join Spare-it as a Full Stack Web Platform Engineer to evolve its waste intelligence platform. You’ll work end-to-end across data modeling, back-end services, and front-end features, with a strong focus on security, reliability, and CI/CD quality.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize data models to support high-performance analytics at large scale.
- Develop robust APIs and microservices using AWS cloud services.
- Contribute to a strong CI/CD culture, with high standards for testability and maintainability.
- Ensure security and reliability across platform components.
Requirements
- Solid full-stack experience on modern web platforms.
- Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.
- AWS service familiarity including: Cognito, Amplify, DynamoDB, IoT Core.
- Continuous learner mindset; actively explores new tools and approaches.
- Comfortable using AI-augmented development tools (e.g., Claude Code/coplots/LLMs) to improve productivity and code quality.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Ownership and ability to drive topics end-to-end.
- Collaborative working style in an international, remote-first environment.
- Agile/Scrum mindset and familiarity with modern development workflows including CI/CD.
- Interest in applying AI to real-world products (pragmatic experimentation).
Nice to have
- Education from a top engineering school or equivalent in Computer Science (or related field).
- Strong motivation for mission-driven environmental impact work.
