Full Stack Web Platform Engineer (AWS, React, Node.js)

Role overview

Join Spare-it as a Full Stack Web Platform Engineer to evolve its waste intelligence platform. You’ll work end-to-end across data modeling, back-end services, and front-end features, with a strong focus on security, reliability, and CI/CD quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize data models to support high-performance analytics at large scale.
• Develop robust APIs and microservices using AWS cloud services.
• Contribute to a strong CI/CD culture, with high standards for testability and maintainability.
• Ensure security and reliability across platform components.

Requirements

• Solid full-stack experience on modern web platforms.
• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.
• AWS service familiarity including: Cognito, Amplify, DynamoDB, IoT Core.
• Continuous learner mindset; actively explores new tools and approaches.
• Comfortable using AI-augmented development tools (e.g., Claude Code/coplots/LLMs) to improve productivity and code quality.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Ownership and ability to drive topics end-to-end.
• Collaborative working style in an international, remote-first environment.
• Agile/Scrum mindset and familiarity with modern development workflows including CI/CD.
• Interest in applying AI to real-world products (pragmatic experimentation).

Nice to have

• Education from a top engineering school or equivalent in Computer Science (or related field).
• Strong motivation for mission-driven environmental impact work.
