About the role

Role Overview

Full Stack Web Engineer at Privia Health, building high-performing, scalable, cloud-native applications across the entire stack. The role is focused on accelerating engineering output as the company expands its AI capabilities, taking AI/agentic workflows from prototype to production with robust operations.

Responsibilities

End-to-End Automation Engineering: Design, build, and maintain the automated workflow engine; orchestrate between web apps, RPA pipelines, and data models.
AI Expansion: Partner with product and data teams to move prototypes and predictive/internal automation tools into scalable, production-ready features.
High-Availability Scaling: Ensure high-volume, low-latency performance for backend worker queues and mission-critical cloud infrastructure.
Modern Workflows: Use modern engineering practices with AI-assisted development (including GitLab and the Gemini ecosystem) to speed delivery and improve code quality, reviews, and test automation.
Mentorship & Collaboration: Work with teammates, including mentoring earlier-career developers.

Requirements

3+ years building full-stack web applications, including:
- Complex API integrations
- Background job processing
Backend: Python or Ruby on Rails
Storage: SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake
Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript (e.g., Node.js, React)
Automation ecosystem awareness: Practical experience integrating/building automation tools/agents, RPA bots, or IDP/Document Intelligence
Cloud: Hands-on experience deploying and monitoring scalable apps on a major public cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
AI-augmented development: Experience integrating AI development assistants into daily coding workflow (e.g., prompt engineering, multi-agent orchestration, RAG)
Full-stack capability: Ability to deliver a full vertical slice (frontend + backend) from a spec/mockup
HIPAA compliance
Remote-work readiness: access to a private, quiet workspace with high-speed internet and willingness to communicate via webcam/webconf/phone

Nice-to-Haves

Experience working directly with automation platforms such as UiPath and Gemini Agents (mentioned in the ecosystem).
