About the role

Role Overview

Zarego is hiring a Mid to Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to build and architect modern web applications. You’ll work across backend and frontend, and help deploy AI-powered features, including LLM integrations and smart application logic.

Responsibilities

Architect and develop robust web applications and services.
Build backend APIs and scalable server-side functionality with Node.js.
Create high-performance frontend experiences using React and Next.js.
Implement and deploy AI-powered features, including LLM integrations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a startup environment.

Requirements

4+ years of professional experience engineering web applications.
Strong Node.js experience for backend services and APIs.
Proficiency in React and Next.js.
Practical AI experience deploying AI-powered features (incl. LLM integrations).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; can contribute to high-performing cross-functional teams.
Startup mindset and experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Advanced English (C1–C2).
Remote role with residency required in New York, San Francisco, Houston, or Seattle.

Nice to Have

Interest or experience with Python.
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
