Full Stack Software Engineer - Staff or Principal

Role Overview

Full Stack Software Engineer (Staff or Principal) to build and evolve Seeq’s end-to-end data analytics platform. You’ll work across frontend and backend systems, owning features from browser to database in a complex enterprise product.

What You’ll Do

• Lead design and development of features spanning React frontend, backend services, APIs, and data layers
• Partner with Product, UX, and Engineering to understand user needs and make sound technical decisions
• Own features end-to-end and ensure polished, reliable delivery at every layer
• Build intuitive frontend experiences and work confidently in backend services, databases, and distributed systems
• Mentor and guide engineers; raise the quality bar through code review, pairing, and technical leadership
• Evaluate and adopt fresh technologies and approaches
• Think about how AI can accelerate software development outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in CS/software engineering or related field
• Strong track record shipping complex features across frontend and backend systems:
  • 6+ years for Staff
  • 10+ years for Principal
• Solid understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Backend expertise in JVM languages such as Kotlin, Java, or Scala
• Database experience with PostgreSQL
• Proven ability to own features across frontend and backend codebases end-to-end
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with great attention to detail
• Leadership/mentoring capabilities for Staff/Principal level
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum or Kanban

Nice to Have

• Expertise in React and TypeScript and modern frontend tooling (e.g., Tailwind) for polished, responsive UI
• Product/customer engagement experience and ability to articulate feature rationale and user pain points
