Full Stack Software Engineer (Magento / PHP) - Remote

Role Overview

Join CLEAResult’s Platform Support Team as a Full Stack Software Engineer (Magento / PHP). You’ll maintain and extend scalable eCommerce applications, build integrations with external systems, and develop high-performance features across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications with a focus on Magento
• Extend/customize Magento functionality to meet business requirements
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, payment gateways)
• Develop and consume APIs using REST and SOAP
• Work with JSON and XML data formats
• Contribute across frontend and backend development
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Design teams to deliver features
• Participate in triage, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and help scale existing systems

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience developing with Magento
• Solid foundation in modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony and/or Laravel)
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP services
• Experience integrating with third-party systems (CRM, ERP, etc.)
• Proficiency with JSON and XML
• Ability to troubleshoot complex code and business logic
• Experience working with and querying MySQL/MariaDB
• Willingness to work across multiple PHP-based platforms as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CMS/PIM platforms such as Drupal, Pimcore, and/or Joomla
• Frontend experience with Vue.js (preferred) or React
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills
• Familiarity with Composer, Docker, and virtualized environments
• Cloud exposure such as AWS (Lambda, S3) and/or Azure
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices

Experience

• 5+ years developing and maintaining Magento and PHP-based applications

Compensation

• Up to $110,000 (adjusted for higher cost of labor states)
