About the role

Role Overview

Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer for a Cloud Licensing Platform. This is a fully remote contract role supporting U.S. federal cloud environments, with a preference for PST working hours for daily operational syncs. You will build and scale licensing and entitlement systems while translating FedRAMP/DoD IL5 compliance requirements into maintainable software.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and operate full-stack licensing features (activation, entitlement management, renewals, and audits).
  • Develop responsive React/Redux web interfaces and integrate with secure, scalable Ruby on Rails backend APIs.
  • Architect and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and query performance to ensure platform reliability.
  • Implement security/compliance controls such as audit logging, secrets management, and RBAC access controls, plus operational evidence collection.
  • Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes, maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines.
  • Improve automated test suites and create comprehensive operational runbooks.

Requirements

Must-Have

  • Full-stack experience with React, Redux (or similar modern JS frameworks), and Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong relational database schema design and PostgreSQL query performance tuning.
  • Cloud infrastructure & deployment automation using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
  • Experience in regulated U.S. federal environments (FedRAMP Moderate/High, DoD IL5).
  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card (strict federal/FedRAMP requirement).

Good to Have

  • Experience with licensing/entitlement/subscription billing and identity/access-control systems.
  • Hands-on IAM implementation: OAuth, SAML, SCIM, RBAC and least-privilege models.
  • Infrastructure as Code, secrets management, zero-trust patterns, and compliance automation.
  • Asynchronous architectures, message queues/event streams, and production observability.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, UX, Security, SRE, and Compliance.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 12+ months
  • Work arrangement: Remote (PST preference)
  • Compensation (hourly, W2/C2C): $66.23/hr (W2) or $79.41/hr (C2C)
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k)
