Full-Stack Software Engineer - Banking Compliance

Role Overview

Join Shine as a Full-Stack Software Engineer in the Banking Compliance team. You will design, develop, and implement backend services for the Compliance domain, lead technical delivery, and collaborate with Product, Operations, and Compliance to build reliable and auditable systems.

Responsibilities

• Design & build backend services within the Compliance domain.
• Lead technical delivery of projects with high-quality execution.
• Develop fraud and compliance detection scenarios.
• Improve existing services, architecture, and overall system reliability.
• Implement regulatory checks to ensure continued compliance.
• Support production systems: investigate issues and fix bugs.
• Collaborate closely with Compliance, Operations, and Product to deliver auditable systems.
• Communicate with operators to understand needs and challenges.
• Mentor engineers via code reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, technical strategy, and long-term backend direction.

Requirements

• Strong experience in a microservices environment.
• TypeScript / Node.js expertise.
• Strong experience with React (ideally NestJS).
• Strong knowledge of SQL / PostgreSQL.
• Experience with distributed and event-driven architectures.
• Ability to design and scale backend services in production.
• Solid understanding of testing practices.
