About the role

Role Overview

Jensen Hughes is hiring a Full Stack Software Developer to support and evolve web applications and cloud-based platforms. The role focuses on stabilizing and enhancing existing systems, selectively expanding where there is business value, and contributing to new initiatives in collaboration with product, DevOps, and QA.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using modern frameworks and cloud services
  • Build responsive, maintainable front-end interfaces with React and/or Angular
  • Develop secure, scalable back-end services using .NET
  • Work with PostgreSQL and SQL Server for data modeling, querying, and performance tuning
  • Develop and deploy applications using Docker/containerized environments
  • Use AWS for hosting, automation, monitoring, and scalability
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and Agile ceremonies
  • Troubleshoot issues across application, infrastructure, and data layers
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and documentation
  • Collaborate with product managers, QA, DevOps, and other engineers

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional software development experience
  • Experience working across front-end and back-end systems
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • React and/or Angular
    • JavaScript/TypeScript
    • .NET (Core or Framework)
    • Python (services, automation, or integrations)
    • Docker/container platforms
    • PostgreSQL and SQL Server
    • AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway)
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and distributed systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Must reside in the U.S. and be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating AI-enabled tools/services
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge of cloud and application security best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
