Full Stack Python Engineer

Role Overview

Full Stack Senior Python Engineer to join a remote team within the United States. You’ll work across the software development lifecycle—planning through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical planning and requirements gathering (design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, deployment)
• Collaborate with client leads and/or solution architects on solution design and delivery
• Ensure implementations and deployments follow best practices and client standards
• Create and maintain technical documentation and user stories
• Perform code audits and reviews
• Build unit tests for code components per user stories
• Mentor junior engineers and serve as a senior team contributor
• Provide technical support and help drive continuous improvements to services
• Manage working relationships with team members and clients
• Help plan work via WBS and sprint backlog, and support PM project planning
• Manage assigned tasks independently and report technical blockers
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups)

Requirements

• 5+ years of Python programming experience
• Strong AWS experience (e.g., Lambda, S3)
• Strong debugging, problem solving, and root-cause investigation (e.g., log and error analysis)
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter
• Strong consulting and communication skills
• Experience with end-to-end project lifecycle activities
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Experience working with globally distributed teams
• Strong foundation in Computer Science (data structures, algorithms, software design)
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Front-end experience with React
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and streamline workflows
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms and AI ethical considerations

The App Modernization team supports businesses transforming legacy systems and delivering end-to-end solutions, including cloud migration, custom app development, multi-cloud strategies, and modern UI/API integration (with DevSecOps and AI-driven capabilities).
