About the role

Role Overview

Founding Product Engineer (Senior Full Stack) for an early-stage startup. You will work directly with the CTO and co-founder to build and scale a multi-tenant SaaS platform used by land development and construction teams. This is a true end-to-end builder role with influence over product direction, architecture, and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

Build and ship full-stack features across frontend, backend, and database
Partner with the CTO on architecture, product decisions, and technical direction
Design scalable systems for a multi-tenant SaaS environment
Own features end-to-end, including:
- Data modeling
- API design
- UI development
- Performance optimization
Work across product areas such as:
- Project management
- Financial workflows (budgets, contracts, invoicing)
- Scheduling
- Reporting
Contribute to AI-enabled features and use AI tools to support development workflow
Translate complex business workflows into intuitive user experiences

Requirements

3–6+ years building production web applications
Strong full-stack experience (not siloed)
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, including React and TypeScript
Node.js/Express (or similar) backend experience
Solid relational database knowledge (PostgreSQL or equivalent)
Experience building real customer-facing products
Ability to take ownership of features from concept through production
Strong product mindset focused on workflows, systems, and user outcomes
Comfortable in fast-paced early-stage startup environments

Nice to Have

Startup/founding team experience
Experience with workflow-heavy or system-driven applications (ERP, fintech, project management, vertical SaaS)
Exposure to AI/LLM-powered features or AI-assisted development workflows
Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture
