About the role

Role overview

Senior Full Stack Engineer (SDE-III) taking end-to-end ownership—from system design through deployment. You’ll design and build APIs, ship intuitive frontends, optimize databases, and influence architectural decisions while partnering with product, design, and engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Backend architecture & development using NestJS and Node.js/TypeScript
  • Design and maintain APIs: GraphQL (Apollo Federation) and REST
  • Database design & optimization for relational data (PostgreSQL)
  • Implement authentication/authorization and RBAC
  • Build microservices and event-driven systems using Redis and related patterns
  • Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure decisions
  • Frontend development: build responsive, accessible UIs with Angular (or equivalent)
  • Translate product/design requirements into maintainable client-side architecture
  • Manage complex state using RxJS, Angular Signals, or similar
  • Optimize performance and usability across devices
  • Own features from planning through production, including documentation
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests
  • Review code, mentor engineers, and help guide technical direction

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years professional full stack development
  • 3+ years with NestJS, TypeScript, and GraphQL
  • Strong PostgreSQL design and query optimization skills
  • Production experience with Angular, React, or comparable frontend frameworks
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong communication skills working autonomously in a remote environment

Preferred qualifications

  • Monorepo architectures (e.g., Nx or similar)
  • gRPC and WebSockets
  • Serverless platforms (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
  • CQRS, DDD, or event-sourced systems
  • Observability/performance tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, load testing, rate limiting)

  • Fully remote within the United States
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
