Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

Sundayy is seeking a Full Stack Engineer (Staff Engineer) to help shape the technology, product experience, and engineering culture at an early-stage, fast-growing company. You’ll build and scale both customer-facing and internal platforms, including tools used daily by stylists and customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale full-stack applications using modern web technologies.
• Influence technical architecture and make strategic trade-offs to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, and operations to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Convert Figma mockups into responsive, accessible user interfaces with robust backend integrations.
• Use data-driven approaches (e.g., A/B testing and instrumentation) to improve UX and business outcomes.
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and uphold high technical standards.
• Drive testing and automation across the stack to ensure quality.
• Manage deployments and build CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
• Champion standards around performance, security, and accessibility.

Requirements

• Extensive front-end development experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js, React.js, React Query, and Tailwind CSS.
• Strong understanding of scalable application architecture and performance optimization.
• Collaborative development experience using Git and GitHub.
• Proven ability to translate Figma designs into responsive interfaces across devices/browsers.
• Experience establishing testing practices with Cypress, Jest, and React Testing Library.
• Knowledge of deployment/operations using Netlify, AWS, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Strong communication skills focused on documentation and team enablement.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with strong ownership.

• Experience mentoring/leading engineering practices (design reviews, standards, enablement).
