About the role

Role overview

Join SplitMetrics as a Full-stack Engineer to build and maintain web applications end-to-end—front-end user interfaces and back-end services—while improving legacy systems.

Key missions

Develop and maintain user interfaces for scalable, high-performance single-page applications (SPAs) using modern frontend frameworks.
Collaborate on frontend architecture and component-based UI design.
Build backend services using Python and integrate frontend with backend APIs.
Refactor and modernize legacy systems; support migrations to modern tech stacks.
Implement automated testing and write/review code for quality, security, and best practices.
Monitor and help maintain system stability and performance (including observability/troubleshooting).

Responsibilities

Own code quality across both frontend and backend.
Optimize performance and reliability for production systems.
Ensure engineering decisions consider business implications and product growth.

Requirements

4+ years JavaScript (ES6+) and React, Angular, or Vue.
Strong UI design skills: component architecture, CSS/SCSS, and responsive interfaces.
Knowledge of web security best practices.
4+ years Python experience, including building high-load, scalable systems.
Strong SQL skills, especially PostgreSQL, including performance tuning.
Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and tools.
Experience with refactoring legacy code and migrating to modern stacks.
B1+ English level.

Nice-to-haves / additional strengths

Experience with microservices, data pipelines, and analytics solutions.
Strong focus on liability/observability and troubleshooting.
Experience developing systems that support product/business growth through architecture decisions.
