Role overview

Join Speak as a Full-stack Engineer to build and ship AI-powered product experiences in an AI-native environment. You’ll work on both frontend and backend features for programmatic, conversationally-driven language learning.

Key missions

Design and develop innovative AI-driven product experiences and web user interfaces.
Own the full feature development lifecycle, from conception to production.
Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Machine Learning teams to deliver high-quality consumer applications.

Responsibilities

Ship quickly and frequently, balancing long-term quality with practical iteration.
Work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with product and technical stakeholders.
Use AI coding agents in a hands-on way throughout design, testing, and shipping.

Requirements

4+ years building polished web-based product experiences, with extensive React experience.
Experience coordinating closely with product, design, and ML teams.
Ability to work both “the right way” and pragmatically (including building “scrappily” when needed).
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience using coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) as core collaborators.

Nice to have

Experience spanning multiple engineering levels (mid to staff) is welcome; strong collaboration and shipping cadence are valued.
