About the role

Role overview

Orygen Digital is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to deliver end-to-end features across backend, APIs, and frontend systems. You’ll partner with product, design, research, and clinical teams to translate complex requirements into reliable, accessible, high-performing user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own full-stack features across backend services/APIs and frontend interfaces.
  • Ensure features are tested, maintainable, performant, and ready for handover to other engineers.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product, design, research, clinical) to deliver user- and clinician-facing capabilities.
  • Contribute to the Engineering Chapter by shaping and upholding shared standards and technical direction.
  • Handle sensitive clinical and personal data in line with healthcare, privacy, and accreditation requirements.
  • Participate in a compensated on-call rotation for triage and incident response to keep MOST available.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Python and/or PHP building scalable, maintainable, production server-side applications.
  • RESTful API design and relational database capability (e.g., MariaDB or PostgreSQL).
  • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and AWS (AWS preferred).
  • Solid frontend capability with Vue.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS to own feature delivery end to end.
  • Clear, honest communication; able to explain technical trade-offs to engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.

Nice to have / preferred

  • Practical AWS experience (explicitly preferred).
