About the role

Role overview

Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (remote) for a long-term contract.

  • ~60% frontend development and ~40% test automation
  • Build modern web applications focused on user experience, reliability, and automated testing

Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance frontend applications with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6)
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Playwright with TypeScript
  • Migrate existing Python-based test automation to Playwright/TypeScript
  • Develop scalable full-stack features using Node.js and AWS serverless services
    • AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS (and related services)
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software
  • Improve performance, usability, reliability, and maintainability
  • Participate in code reviews and help drive engineering best practices
  • Support testing and production readiness in an Agile environment

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in CS/Engineering/Math or analytical field)
  • 5+ years professional software engineering experience
  • Advanced hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript (ES6)
  • Hands-on Playwright experience for test automation
  • Experience building full-stack applications in highly scaled environments
  • Strong Node.js experience
  • Experience with AWS services: Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS
  • Some experience with Python
  • Experience working on Agile teams; pair programming, code reviews, and collaboration

Preferred qualifications

  • AWS AppSync
  • AWS CDK or CloudFormation
  • Test automation frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or WebDriver
  • AWS certification (Associate+)

Compensation

  • $80–$90 per hour (depending on experience)
