About the role

Role overview

Join LiveEO as a Full-Stack Engineer building web applications that use deep learning and satellite data to:

  • Combat deforestation
  • Monitor critical infrastructure
  • Respond to natural disasters

You will take ownership of large technical topics end-to-end, from early design through production, while handling high volumes of geospatial information efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build applications leveraging deep learning and satellite/geo data.
  • Manage large geospatial/GIS datasets and efficiently resolve database-related complexity.
  • Build well-designed, performant APIs and backend services for third-party partners and customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across projects from initial idea to ongoing monitoring.

Requirements

  • Strong day-to-day experience with TypeScript and React.
  • Backend experience with NestJS, Express, or Node.js.
  • Experience with CI/CD and modern software architecture practices.
  • Ability to handle complex work involving large-scale geospatial / GIS development.

Nice-to-haves / Profile

  • Hands-on familiarity with agentic coding setups and real AI-assisted workflows.
  • Experience with spec-driven or test-driven agentic development.
  • Strong sense for design and UX to handle smaller design decisions independently.
  • Experience with web-based geospatial/GIS systems.
  • Vue.js or Preact may be acceptable alternatives to React (mentioned as fine).
