Full Stack Engineer, Jr.

Role Overview

Full Stack Engineer (Junior) to support the Payment Integrity team within a Special Investigations Unit (SIU). This remote position focuses on building data-driven applications that help detect and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse in healthcare payment systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data-driven applications using Python and Node.js
• Build and support backend services and APIs for SIU / Payment Integrity use cases
• Manage and optimize data pipelines and data storage solutions using MongoDB and Oracle
• Collaborate with React engineers to deliver UI-integrated functionality
• Contribute to fraud/waste/abuse detection capabilities through scalable engineering solutions
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned to business units
• Support ongoing enhancements, troubleshooting, and maintenance of existing applications and data workflows

Requirements

• Strong Python experience for data engineering and backend development
• Hands-on Node.js experience for API and application development
• Proficiency with MongoDB and Oracle databases
• Full-stack mindset; ability to collaborate across backend and UI components (React exposure a plus)
• Experience building scalable, data-driven applications in production
• Ability to work effectively in business-aligned team structures and manage multiple initiatives
• Strong communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
