Full-Stack Developer - US Remote Contractor

Role Overview

Full-Stack Developer (US Remote Contractor) working on websites and web applications supporting business objectives. You’ll help design and build complex digital products across client-side and server-side, from concept and design through testing and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop, support, and maintain digital products (CMS-built websites and JavaScript-framework web apps)
• Architect solutions for complex digital products with guidance from the Digital Product Director
• Perform hands-on development for both server and client components
• Develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications for mobile and desktop
• Deliver performant, user-friendly, and “blazing-fast” web user experiences
• Use third-party APIs/services for extended functionality
• Build internal APIs and tools
• Lead technical delivery of application features (server-side and client-side)
• Write clean, DRY, well-tested code and meet project deadlines
• Participate in code reviews and help improve team coding skills
• Engage with product, design, engineering, and QA to define and implement new insights
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to others
• Diagnose and troubleshoot performance and other issues
• Stay current with web technologies and research new tools for adoption

Requirements

• 5+ years crafting web experiences, including 2+ years building web applications
• Strong mastery of web technologies and solution design (simple, clear, flexible)
• Strong attention to quality (including UX and code quality)
• Experience shipping at least one multi-year application where you were a primary developer
• Good understanding of OOP and functional programming, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
• Well organized, detail-oriented, and strong communicator

• Server/client feature delivery and deep understanding of performance
