About the role
Role overview
You’ll join Hostinger’s Website Builder team and ship end-to-end features for the Ecommerce and Website Builder platforms. The role blends complex backend logic with pixel-perfect user interfaces, working closely with designers, product managers, and engineers.
Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end: build complete Website Builder and eCommerce features from database to UI.
- Frontend: ship Vue.js 3 components powered by Node.js APIs you design and build.
- Backend: build robust backend services and APIs.
- Balance the stack: split time between frontend and backend work based on strengths and growth goals.
- Move fast in an autonomous squad: ship regularly, make technical decisions with mentorship.
- Full-stack debugging & optimization: debug across the stack; optimize SQL queries and bundle sizes.
- Collaborate deeply: partner with designers on UX, debate API design with backend engineers, and contribute to product direction.
- Continuous growth: deepen frontend architecture in one sprint and backend scalability in the next.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack experience using modern JavaScript/TypeScript on both frontend and backend.
- Frontend: strong experience with Vue.js, React, or Angular + TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS.
- Backend: working knowledge of Node.js, REST APIs, and databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
- Message queueing: experience with tools like RabbitMQ, BullMQ, or GCP PubSub.
- Testing discipline: write unit tests and understand the value of E2E testing.
- Database skills: write SQL and use ORMs effectively.
- Git collaboration: branching, PRs, and code reviews.
- Communication: explain technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-driven learning: research unknown areas and ask for help when needed.
Nice to have
- Vue 3 Composition API and Pinia
- Monorepo architecture knowledge or Vite
- Docker / containerization experience
- Performance optimization (either frontend or backend)
- WebSockets / real-time features
- Any exposure to DevOps or CI/CD
