Full Stack Developer (Mobile & Expo Focus)

Role Overview

All Generation Tech is hiring a Full Stack Developer (Mobile & Expo Focus) to join their engineering team. You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle of cross-platform mobile apps using Expo and TypeScript, including backend integrations and cloud identity work.

Contract Details

• Remote: anywhere in the world
• Contract length: 2–3 months, potential extension based on performance and project needs
• Start date: in 2 months
• Work schedule: 5 days/week (40 hours), Mon–Fri; office hours 9 AM–5 PM EST (flexible by 1 hour)

Responsibilities

Mobile Development

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance iOS and Android apps using Expo (React Native).

Full-Stack Implementation

• Develop scalable backend APIs and frontend interfaces.
• Ensure seamless data flow between mobile apps, server, and databases.

Authentication & Security

• Implement secure authentication using Azure Active Directory B2C (Azure B2C).
• Manage token lifecycle, including refresh logic.

Agile Execution

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Break down work into sub-tasks in Jira and estimate effort accurately.

Code Quality & Architecture

• Write clean, maintainable, type-safe TypeScript.
• Apply best practices for architecture, error handling, and performance.

Autonomous Delivery

• Work independently while collaborating with the team.
• Make technical decisions on architecture, libraries, and implementation strategy.

Requirements (Must-Have)

• Expo: Hands-on experience with EAS Build, Expo Updates, and config plugins; ability to manage build processes for iOS and Android app stores.
• TypeScript: Advanced skills including strict typing, generics, interfaces, and type guards across frontend and backend.
• Azure B2C: Integration experience including custom policies, MSAL, and secure mobile token storage.
• Mobile (React Native): Strong understanding of iOS/Android paradigms (e.g., permissions, native modules, navigation, safe area views).
• API Development: Experience building RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Node.js: Highly preferred.
• Agile/Scrum & Jira: Experience working in Agile/Scrum; ability to manage and update tickets independently.

Nice-to-Haves

• Strong backend experience in addition to mobile, especially with Node.js.
