Full Stack Developer

Role

Full Stack Developer (Product/IT) reporting to the Lead Software Engineer. This is a remote role with an opportunity to build and scale software that powers patient and clinician experiences in digital mental health.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack features for web-based platforms
• Write clean, modular, testable code and follow best practices
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Clinical teams to deliver user-centered features
• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure and deployments on AWS
• Build and integrate third-party APIs (e.g., scheduling, billing, communication)
• Use GitHub for version control and participate in review processes
• Own production availability and manage infrastructure-as-code deployments
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across the stack
• Suggest and implement AI-powered features to improve personalization and automation
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant data handling in AWS and support ~10k+ monthly patient sessions

30/90-Day Focus

• First 30 days: ship an automated postpartum screening tool
• By day 90: own the migration of the clinician dashboard to a more performant real-time architecture

Requirements

• 6+ years of full-stack experience
• Strong React proficiency and experience managing complex state in React apps
• TypeScript (or similar frameworks)
• Understanding of REST APIs and microservices
• AWS experience, including EC2, RDS, S3
• Database familiarity: SQL and NoSQL
• Comfortable with GitHub, CI/CD workflows, and agile tools like Asana
• Ability to break down technical requirements and execute
• Interest in mental health, women’s health, and social impact

Nice to Have

• Experience in digital health, telehealth, or healthcare systems
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and handling sensitive data
• Exposure to AI/ML tools (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face)
• Experience with consumer products
• Familiarity with remote startup environments
• Proactivity and strong ownership mindset
