About the role
Role Overview
Confiz is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Level III) for a Fortune 500 retail client. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance enterprise applications, including frontend web apps, backend microservices, cloud-native solutions, and event-driven architectures.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs, backend services, and microservices
- Develop responsive, dynamic web interfaces with React
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) and optimize database performance
- Implement and maintain AWS solutions (e.g., S3, Lambda, RDS, EKS)
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Terraform
- Design and optimize event-driven messaging using Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ
- Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, monitoring, and production support
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and support incident resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, React, and REST APIs
- Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native environments
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure automation with Terraform
- Familiarity with Kafka/SQS/RabbitMQ
- Experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
- Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools such as Splunk or New Relic
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
Nice to Have
- Deeper experience with distributed systems scalability and event-driven architectures
- Proven ability to lead/mentor junior engineers and influence engineering practices
