Full-Stack Developer (Junior)

Role Overview

You’ll build the majority of the user-facing web application for LeadUp AI, working from detailed specifications and patterns set by a senior developer. The environment is fast-moving, with shifting priorities as the product reaches real users, and AI coding tools are an essential part of your workflow.

What You’ll Do

• Build the full user-facing web application (dashboards, reports, settings, onboarding)
• Create admin views (user management, configuration, aggregate data)
• Implement supporting systems, including:
  • Notifications
  • Emails
  • Exports
• Write tests against defined error scenarios
• Contribute to database schema design alongside the senior developer and CTO
• Participate in daily syncs with the senior developer and review PRs on every merge

Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional development experience (internships and freelance count)
• React or Next.js for frontend
• Python for backend (FastAPI experience is a strong plus)
• Basic PostgreSQL: write queries, understand joins, and contribute to schema design
• Active user of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) in daily workflow
• Ability to read a spec and ship features without hand-holding
• Comfortable with changing priorities; asks clarifying questions when unclear
• Strong written and spoken English

Preferred

• FastAPI experience
• Tailwind CSS and responsive design
• Authentication flows (OAuth, JWT)
• Dashboard/report-style interface experience
• Portfolio or GitHub showing end-to-end projects
