Full Stack Developer, Junior

Role Overview

As a Junior Full Stack Developer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you’ll build end-to-end solutions in a fast, Agile environment. The role focuses on more than just coding: you’ll learn new tools, identify system improvements, and help deliver solutions that address client challenges from design through production.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software applications
• Build complete solutions using both front-end and back-end languages
• Apply architectural approaches to ensure solutions fit current environments and future enhancements
• Collaborate in a team setting to solve complex problems
• Use Agile practices and (as applicable) extreme programming/software engineering/product development concepts
• Contribute to automation and optimization to resolve workflow problems
• Support testing and maintenance using automated testing tools
• Consider client requirements and translate them into working solutions

Requirements

• Experience building and implementing software applications
• Proficiency with advanced programming languages/technologies and web development stacks
• Experience with Agile methodology (and/or extreme programming/software engineering)
• Ability to use back-end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice to Have

• 1+ years of software engineering experience
• Familiarity with SQL and one or more of: Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, Node.js, PHP, Drupal
• Experience writing/maintaining source code for new applications or enhancing existing code

Compensation & Benefits

• Projected annual salary range: $53,000 – $108,000 (USD)
