Full-stack Developer

Role Overview

Huzzle is hiring a Founding Engineer (Fullstack) as an independent contractor to help take the product from zero to launch and toward product-market fit. You’ll work closely with the founding team to build core systems, shape product decisions, and deliver outstanding user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of core fullstack product features, with strong focus on frontend UX and performance
• Collaborate with the founder, product designer, and early users to iterate rapidly
• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems, including PostgreSQL schemas and Row-Level Security (RLS) with Supabase
• Develop edge APIs, backend services, and workers for real-time, high-performance applications
• Translate complex product concepts into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces
• Make foundational architecture and infrastructure decisions balancing speed, scalability, and reliability
• Build systems that support growth from early launch through scale
• Integrate with smart contracts and blockchain infrastructure
• Own and maintain blockchain indexing systems for real-time product functionality
• Build modern authentication and digital asset experiences, including WebAuthn
• Partner with fintech and infrastructure providers for secure, scalable solutions
• Contribute to product strategy, experimentation, and iteration toward product-market fit
• Uphold strong engineering practices, performance standards, and a security-first mindset

Requirements

• Exceptional ability and curiosity; strong academic background (CS/Math/Physics/EE or equivalent)
• 5+ years software engineering experience, including at least 1 year at a senior level with high ownership
• Strong TypeScript and React for production-grade frontend development
• Backend and systems experience; experience with Go or low-level/system design is a plus
• Extensive PostgreSQL and scalable data architecture experience
• Proven experience shipping complex user-facing products
• Strong interest in finance, blockchain/Web3, consumer apps, user psychology, and AI/LLMs
• Security-first mindset focused on data integrity and system resilience
• Ability to move fast, make pragmatic decisions, and thrive in ambiguity
• Strong communication and collaborative, founder-level mindset
