About the role

Role Overview

Full Stack Developer responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining robust, scalable web applications and APIs across the full technology stack. You will collaborate with cross-functional product and design teams while contributing to R&D and continuous platform improvements.

Location & Employment

  • Remote, with 2 weeks of mandatory onsite training
  • Full-time (exempt, salaried)
  • Must reside in the United States
  • No visa sponsorship

Compensation

  • $121,252 to $154,291 per year, based on years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications and APIs end-to-end (database schema through UI)
  • Build AI applications where appropriate to enhance the business
  • Lead architectural decisions and perform code reviews to ensure maintainability, security, and performance
  • Drive and contribute to R&D: evaluate new tech, create proof-of-concepts, and inform engineering roadmap discussions
  • Collaborate with product/design during sprint planning and discovery sessions
  • Optimize performance and address bottlenecks across front-end and back-end
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure reliability
  • Maintain internal technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and R&D reports
  • Mentor junior developers via pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
  • Participate in on-call rotation and support incident response as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years professional full stack development experience
  • 2+ years participating in or leading R&D projects (prototyping and technical evaluation)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum and CI/CD pipelines
  • Front-end: JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
  • Back-end: server-side development with Node.js, Python, Java, or Go
  • Databases: PostgreSQL/MySQL (relational) and MongoDB/Redis (NoSQL)
  • Cloud & DevOps: AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes
  • APIs: strong REST API design; familiarity with GraphQL
  • Version control: expert with Git and collaborative branching workflows
  • Security: application security best practices (OWASP, authentication, encryption)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Google Professional Cloud Developer)
  • Experience publishing/presenting R&D findings
  • Background with machine learning integrations, data pipelines, or AI-assisted tooling
  • Experience in a startup/fast-paced product engineering environment
  • Open-source or public technical community contributions
  • Experience with WebSockets, real-time systems, or event-driven architecture
  • Familiarity with serverless architectures and microservices
