Full Stack Developer (AI Focus - Remote)

Role Overview

RainFocus is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer (AI Focus) to build the next generation of tools for large-scale events. You’ll join a fast-moving, cross-functional team delivering AI-powered experiences for internal teams and event organizers, blending AI with intuitive product design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RainFocus’s core product with a focus on usability, security, and scalability.
• Design and implement an AI agent platform, including LLM integrations and supporting infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Product Management and UX to build client-facing experiences.
• Build and iterate on prototypes integrating LLMs, APIs, and retrieval pipelines.
• Implement full-stack features end-to-end:
  • Database schema and backend services
  • Frontend components and real-time interactions
• Provide leadership by example, including mentoring through peer review and technical guidance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack experience.
• Strong experience with Java and modern front-end development using a JavaScript framework (React preferred; also Angular/Vue acceptable).
• Experience with LLMs, AI agents, or RAG architectures.
• Experience architecting complex solutions and communicating design/approach to other developers.
• Experience peer reviewing code with constructive feedback.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Agile software development experience.
• Object-oriented design and programming.
• RDBMS experience (e.g., MySQL/Oracle/MSSQL), including database design and advanced SQL.
• Interest in AI/ML engineering ecosystem including data engineering, MLOps, AI, CI/CD, infrastructure, or building for technical teams.
• Ability to make sound engineering/product trade-offs.
• Strong backend expertise in service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with LangChain or other AI agentic frameworks.
