Role Overview

Contract Frontend Web Developer (HTML, CSS) — Remote (work from anywhere, United States). You will build and maintain responsive, cross-browser UI components that match design specifications and support a high-traffic platform.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain front-end components using HTML and CSS (plus related front-end tooling)
Ensure responsive, mobile-first design across devices
Deliver pixel-perfect UI elements by collaborating with design teams
Implement and optimize for front-end performance and accessibility
Participate in code reviews and contribute to front-end best practices

Requirements

Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS, including semantic markup
Experience applying responsive design principles (mobile-first)
Familiarity with CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS/LESS) and/or UI frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap/Tailwind)
Competence using browser developer tools for debugging
Ability to implement designs from tools like Figma or Sketch

Nice to Have

Experience translating mockups/design files into functional UI components for production/high-traffic systems
