Frontend Vue.js Developer - Contingent

Role Overview

Aretum is seeking a Frontend Vue.js Developer (Contingent) to help integrate a custom web application with client systems in a microservices architecture environment. This is a contingent position dependent on successful contract award and required background/security clearance verification.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally in an Agile environment.
• Build and update a custom web application within a microservices architecture.
• Support front-end development and ideally contribute to back-end code.
• Ensure the solution meets accessibility standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to address emerging client needs.
• Manage multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

• 5+ years of custom web application development experience.
• 3+ years with Vue.js.
• 5+ years of full-stack development experience, including understanding how UI frameworks interact with back-end architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree (or 2 additional years of experience).
• Strong JavaScript/CSS skills.
• Experience developing/consuming FastAPI and/or RESTful web services.
• Solid knowledge of Scrum and Kanban (Agile).
• Continuous integration (CI) experience.
• Understanding of mobile-friendly websites.
• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Strong issue resolution, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related field.
• Experience with the federal government.
• Experience with Vite, Quasar, or Pinia (highly preferred).
• Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience in Scrum or SAFe with 2–3 week sprint cycles.
• Experience with Python back-end coding.

Travel / Work Location

• Remote position, with occasional travel (<10%) for client meetings, team events, training, or project needs.
