About the role
Role Overview
Contract Frontend Software Engineer (Remote, USA — ideally US East Coast) in the Expert Services department. You’ll work on a small, agile team to implement and deliver client solutions, including proof-of-concept applications and reusable frontend components.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary front-end developer on client implementations within a small team
- Work with customers to understand technical and business requirements
- Translate client needs into scalable, high-quality technical solutions
- Build proof-of-concept apps, reusable code modules/components, and automation scripts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape project scope and technical direction
- Optimize for performance, responsive design, accessibility, and SEO
- Debug and troubleshoot API and third-party integration issues
- Contribute to documentation and team knowledge sharing
- Deliver solutions on time despite shifting priorities
Requirements
- Proven front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js, or SvelteKit)
- Strong understanding of responsive and accessible UI design
- Experience with component-based architectures and API-driven systems (REST and GraphQL)
- Familiarity with performance optimization, scalability, and SEO best practices
- Hands-on debugging/troubleshooting using Postman and browser developer tools
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills
- Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and related technologies
- Ability to start immediately or on short notice
