About the role

Role Overview

Frontend Software Engineer supporting national security missions. You will design, develop, and maintain modern, mission-critical web applications that support vital government functions.

Responsibilities

Research, develop, debug, and maintain software applications in a collaborative team environment
Analyze client challenges and recommend tools/technologies and solution approaches
Design and build interactive UI components and full application views (Angular or React)
Implement backend services and integrate with RESTful APIs (including AWS-managed services such as Lambda)
Conduct code reviews, define coding standards, and promote testing and deployment best practices
Translate UX/design and user research requirements into accessible, high-performing frontend implementations
Develop/consume RESTful APIs to ensure seamless frontend-backend integration
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and delivery
Collaborate with backend engineers, UX designers, and platform teams on architecture patterns and shared components
Participate in Agile development processes (e.g., Jira/Confluence) and communicate progress to stakeholders
Build reusable components/libraries to improve development efficiency
Deploy applications in secure cloud environments such as AWS GovCloud

Requirements

U.S. citizenship
Active Top-Secret SCI (TS/SCI) clearance with Polygraph
Education/experience:
- Bachelor’s + 3+ years, or
- Master’s + 1+ year, or
- Associate’s + 6+ years, or
- High school/GED + 9+ years
Strong UI/UX fundamentals: UI design principles, HCI, UX best practices
Experience with SDLC
Python programming proficiency
Web application development experience using React, Angular, or Vue.js
Backend framework/API experience: FastAPI and RESTful API development
Version control and workflows: Git
CI/CD pipeline knowledge for frontend and backend deployments
Experience designing UI components that interact with backend services (e.g., AWS Lambda and other AWS services)
Proficiency with HTML5 and CSS3
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Nice-to-Haves

Familiarity with AWS GovCloud deployments
Experience integrating CI/CD with continuous testing and delivery for secure environments
