About the role

Role Overview

Software Engineer for the Developer Experience group at Chronosphere (Palo Alto Networks company). You’ll build intuitive, high-performance frontend user interfaces for an industrial-scale, containerized SaaS observability platform—helping engineers diagnose and resolve incidents faster.

Responsibilities

Develop user experiences that surface critical insights and streamline incident troubleshooting while reducing cognitive load.
Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to turn complex observability telemetry into clear workflows and visualizations.
Review and improve design choices, incorporate user feedback, and deliver high-quality UI outcomes.
Contribute to platform evolution across UI and API frameworks using TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and Node.js.
Build and maintain automated tests, tooling, and deployment infrastructure to improve efficiency and reliability.
Mentor colleagues on engineering best practices, performance optimization, and UX design quality.
Participate in product direction discussions and help scale the platform for growing customer needs.

Requirements

Proven experience owning projects end-to-end in a collaborative environment.
Hands-on experience with observability tools and large-scale distributed systems.
Strong TypeScript and React skills for responsive, reliable UI development.
Familiarity with modern web technologies including GraphQL and Node.js.
Ability to translate complex data into intuitive visualizations and workflows.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Curious, motivated mindset for learning deep technical domains.
Experience with automated testing, tooling, and deployment processes.
Ability to seek and incorporate feedback to continuously improve work quality.
Flexible, collaborative style suitable for a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves
