About the role

Role overview

As an Intermediate Frontend Software Engineer, you will help build the next generation of AI-first web and SaaS products. You’ll turn Figma designs into polished, performant, accessible interfaces while collaborating closely with senior engineers, designers, and product leads across active client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship user-facing features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript
  • Translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate, responsive, and accessible UI across browsers/devices
  • Integrate headless CMS platforms (schema, structured content, preview environments)
  • Consume/build against REST and GraphQL APIs, including authentication, caching, and robust error handling
  • Use AI-first development tooling (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) while maintaining code quality and review discipline
  • Write component and end-to-end tests using Playwright and collaborate with QA on coverage/regression prevention
  • Partner with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to scope, estimate, and deliver work
  • Participate in code reviews, pairing, and technical discussions; provide/receive constructive feedback
  • Improve performance, accessibility, and SEO using tools like Lighthouse, axe, and Core Web Vitals
  • Maintain clear documentation for components/integrations/handoffs in Jira, Confluence, and repositories
  • Identify technical risks early and communicate trade-offs/status clearly in an async remote environment

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of professional software engineering with a primary focus on frontend development
  • Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES2020+) (async patterns, type-safe API design)
  • Production experience with Next.js and React, including App Router, server components, and data fetching patterns
  • Hands-on experience with at least one CMS (e.g., Sanity or Gatsby)
  • Experience writing automated tests with Playwright (or similar)
  • Ability to translate Figma into production-grade UI (spacing, typography, interaction detail)
  • Solid HTML/CSS (including Tailwind CSS or CSS-in-JS), accessibility fundamentals (WCAG/ARIA), and responsive design
  • Experience integrating with REST and GraphQL APIs and debugging via DevTools/network inspection
  • Familiarity with Git, PR-based workflows, and CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, Vercel, Netlify)
  • Strong async communication and self-management

Nice to haves

  • Familiarity with AI-first tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor
  • Testing with Playwright integrated into CI quality gates
