Frontend Software Engineer

Role Overview

Join CodeCargo as a Frontend Software Engineer to build production-grade, user-focused interfaces for the CodeCargo platform. You’ll craft fast, intuitive UI experiences and collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineering to solve hard UX and performance challenges.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-quality user interfaces using Next.js and modern web technologies
• Develop frontend components, pages, and interactions that are fast, accessible, and visually polished
• Translate product/design requirements into intuitive user experiences
• Integrate frontend apps with backend APIs and real-time systems
• Optimize rendering, performance, caching, and frontend architecture for scale
• Ensure consistency and quality via component libraries and design systems
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and feature planning
• Contribute to frontend tooling, documentation, and developer experience improvements

Requirements

• 3+ years of frontend engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in React and Next.js (server components, routing, data fetching)
• Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience building production-quality interfaces in fast-paced environments
• Familiarity with frontend performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design
• Comfortable integrating with APIs and real-time/event-driven data sources
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication

Nice to Have

• Experience with design systems, component libraries, or UI frameworks
• Familiarity with edge rendering and hybrid SSR/ISR or advanced Next.js features
• Prior startup/scale-up experience
• Contributions to open-source JavaScript or frontend tooling
