About the role
Role Overview
As a Frontend Python Developer (Senior), you will build modern web applications that replace legacy, spreadsheet-based workflows with scalable, data-driven experiences. The role is part of a long-term, funded federal program supporting mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop responsive web interfaces and modern UX for enterprise search and analytics platforms.
- Create web-based replacements for Excel-driven workflows.
- Integrate frontend applications with FastAPI backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Build data visualization components for financial positions, equity data, and analytics reporting.
- Collaborate on API design, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in frontend and full-stack web application development.
- Strong Python skills, including command-line development and scripting.
- Hands-on React and SQL in production environments.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with modern web application architectures.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Ability to pass client-required identity verification and be authorized to work (US implied).
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience building data-intensive applications, dashboards, or visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of responsive design and frontend performance optimization.
