Frontend JavaScript Developer

Role Overview

As a Frontend JavaScript Developer (AI Training) at Alignerr, you will evaluate, critique, and improve AI-generated JavaScript code. You’ll help ensure emerging AI coding tools meet the quality standards real engineers expect.

Contract & Schedule

• Fully remote
• Hourly contract
• 10–40 hours/week
• Flexible schedule with task-based, asynchronous work

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated JavaScript for:
  • Correctness
  • Efficiency/performance
  • Compliance with ES6+ standards
• Identify and report:
  • Bugs
  • Anti-patterns
  • Suboptimal logic
• Provide optimized alternative implementations
• Tackle UI/UX challenges to test AI handling of:
  • Responsive design
  • Interactive elements
• Assess DOM manipulation efficiency and real-world usability
• Write clear, human-readable documentation covering:
  • State flow
  • Event handling
  • Code logic
• Complete independent, task-based assignments asynchronously

Requirements

• Strong command of core JavaScript, including:
  • async/await
  • closures
  • DOM manipulation
  • ES6+ ecosystem
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with frameworks such as React, Vue, or Node.js
• Strong code quality judgment and ability to explain why code is lacking
• Clear written communication
• Self-motivated and consistent working independently
• CS degree preferred (not required)

Nice to Have

• Experience with data labeling and/or RLHF (or similar AI training/evaluation)
• Background in code review, technical writing, or developer education
• Frontend performance profiling/optimization experience
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and software quality assurance workflows
