About the role

Role Overview

As a Frontend JavaScript Developer (AI Training) at Alignerr, you will evaluate and improve AI-generated JavaScript code. You’ll help ensure the next generation of AI coding tools produces code that works for real engineers.

Responsibilities

Evaluate AI-generated JavaScript for:
- correctness
- efficiency
- adherence to ES6+ standards
Identify and fix issues in AI-written frontend code, including:
- bugs
- anti-patterns
- suboptimal logic
Provide optimized alternatives and explain improvements
Test AI handling of responsive and interactive UI/UX challenges
Assess DOM manipulation efficiency and real-world usability
Write clear, human-readable documentation covering:
- state flow
- event handling
- code logic
Complete task-based assignments independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Requirements

Strong command of core JavaScript, including:
- async/await
- closures
- DOM manipulation
- modern ES6+ ecosystem
3–5 years hands-on experience with React, Vue, or Node.js
Ability to judge code quality and articulate why it falls short
Clear written communication; can explain technical concepts to varied audiences
Self-motivated and consistent working independently
CS or related degree preferred (not required)

Nice to Have

Experience with data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training/evaluation work
Background in code review, technical writing, or developer education
Familiarity with frontend performance profiling/optimization tools
Experience with testing frameworks or QA workflows

Work Details

Type: Hourly contract
Location: Remote (fully remote)
Hours: 10–40 hours/week (flexible; you set your own schedule)
