Role overview

Frontend / Full Stack Engineer (Remote)

• Frontend (primary ~70%): build and modernize web application UI and stateful components.
• Backend (supporting ~30%): collaborate on RESTful services and troubleshoot backend issues.
• Interview focus: React implementation, component architecture, debugging/refactoring, and API integration basics (including Spring Boot).

Responsibilities

• Develop React-based web features with strong component architecture and state management.
• Consume REST APIs and handle async data flows.
• Debug, optimize performance, and refactor existing frontend code.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum team workflows.
• Support backend efforts by understanding and debugging RESTful services and collaborating with BE teams.
• For senior openings: lead frontend design decisions, mentor engineers, drive refactoring/technical improvements, and own features from design through production.
• Help with platform convergence, product enhancements, and customer-facing feature delivery.

Requirements

Frontend

• Strong experience with React (hooks, state management, component architecture)
• Solid JavaScript / TypeScript fundamentals
• Experience consuming REST APIs and managing async flows
• Strong frontend debugging, performance optimization, and refactoring skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Mobile (secondary)

• Exposure to React Native (not required to be deeply specialized)

Backend (supporting)

• Experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Understanding of RESTful services and API design
• Ability to debug backend issues and collaborate with backend teams

Preferred / nice-to-have

• Experience with large-scale consumer applications
• Familiarity with platform migrations or app rebuilds
• Modernizing legacy codebases
• Exposure to CI/CD and cloud-based environments
• Understanding retail/e-commerce or membership-based platforms
• Strong collaboration and communication

Senior expectations (if applying for senior role)

• Lead frontend design decisions
• Mentor junior/mid engineers
• Drive refactoring and technical improvement initiatives
• Own features end-to-end (design → production)
• Participate in architectural discussions
