Frontend Engineer (US-Based / Remote / Part-Time)

Role Overview

Part-time Frontend Engineer (US-Based / Remote) at Implicit. You’ll work with data science and product teams to build a modern AI product support platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular)
• Collaborate with product/design teams to implement designs optimized across platforms and browsers
• Write clean, maintainable code (modular structure; performance, scalability, maintainability)
• Optimize web performance (e.g., lazy loading, code splitting, asset optimization)
• Debug and troubleshoot issues to improve speed and reliability
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and learn across the team
• Stay up to date with frontend trends and best practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of frontend web development experience (React preferred)
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks
• Familiarity with REST APIs and asynchronous programming
• Experience with Git and collaborative workflows (GitHub/GitLab, etc.)
• Ability to translate designs into pixel-perfect UIs with strong UX understanding
• Strong English communication (written and verbal)
• Ability to work effectively in a remote/cross-functional environment
• US Citizenship and currently residing in the US (government work requirement)

Preferred Qualifications

• State management tools: Redux, MobX, or Vuex
• Testing frameworks: Jest, Mocha, Cypress
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development
