Role Overview

Senior Frontend Engineer (Remote, United States)

Join Reddit to design, develop, and maintain user-facing features that improve Reddit’s community builder tools and overall platform experience. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver scalable, reliable, and performant user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain user-facing features with an emphasis on performance, security, and scalability
• Partner cross-functionally with PMs, designers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver high-quality features
• Participate in the full development lifecycle: technical design, coding, testing, experimentation, analysis, and deployment
• Review code and documentation, provide constructive feedback, and improve development practices
• Establish and promote coding standards, best practices, and workflows
• Mentor and coach junior engineers
• Stay current with emerging technologies and apply relevant innovations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative/computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong frontend skills in one or more frameworks: React, Vue, Angular, Lit, or Polymer, plus strong CSS
• Familiarity with GraphQL and/or REST, HTTP protocols (basic knowledge of Thrift is a plus)
• Ability to take full ownership from concept through deployment and ongoing maintenance
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $190,000–$267,000 USD
• Equity via RSUs (commissions may be role-dependent)
